Muscle Testing
At Well Within we believe strongly in the importance of understanding the complete picture of what is going on with your health. While we use many forms of testing and clinical correlations, one of the important methods that we use to learn about your body is through Applied Kinesiology, also known as Muscle Response Testing, or simply Muscle Testing.
Muscle testing is a manual, non-invasive technique, used to retrieve information from the body. It is much like the typical reflex test of the knee wherein tapping on the tendon creates the unconscious knee-jerk response. Like any reflex, it is unrelated to muscle strength and works because of the body’s natural involuntary response to stimuli. Muscle testing was first discovered in the late ‘60’s by Doctor George Goodheart, and is used as a primary feedback mechanism, that potentially evaluates the structural, chemical, and emotional well-being of the patient.
We integrate this kind of assessment to support all of the work we do, from Quantum Neurology to the NeuroEmotional Technique. We feel that it provides a unique and holistic tool to assist in finding the underlying causes of our patient’s health concerns.
